COMPANY HISTORY<\/h4><\/div>

Armatec was founded on the innovative idea of applying aerospace design principles and technologies to ground vehicle survivability and in 2022 we celebrated our 25th year in business.<\/p>\n

Armatec takes a soldier centric approach when designing ground vehicle survivability solutions. We understand the interdependencies of survivability, mobility and combat capability and this is what drives us to create holistic designs that enhance the overall performance of the vehicle without compromise.<\/p>\n

We have grown over the years and now operate out of our modern, 300,000 square foot facility in Dorchester, Ontario, Canada. Our campus in Dorchester also includes an indoor ballistics test range, a multi-slope hill climb area and an off-road test track.<\/p>\n

Today, Armatec possesses the R&D, design, and full-scale production capabilities to equip a range of armoured vehicles, both wheeled and tracked, with the most advanced survivability systems as well as automotive and mobility upgrades.<\/p>\n

Armatec is a 100% Canadian, Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) with fewer than 500 employees. We address the following Canadian Key Industrial Capabilities: 1) Advanced Materials, 2) Aerospace Systems and Components, 3) Armour, 4) Defence Systems Integration, 4) Ground Vehicle Solutions, 5) In-Service Support, 6) Marine Ship-Borne Mission and Platform Systems, and 7) Training and Simulation.<\/p>\n

We work with OEMs on new vehicle platforms and operators with in-service fleets. Many in-service platforms are strong candidates for significant survivability and mobility upgrades and this is a very affordable path to modernizing your fleet to levels that often exceed that available in newer platform vehicles. Armatec has a strong history of providing significant, life saving, survivability enhancements to in-service fleets, including the United States Marine Corps entire fleet of LAV-25 vehicles.<\/p>\n
