Drivers' and Commanders' Seats
Armatec drivers' and commanders' seats are designed to meet the space claim, hard point and functionality requirements of numerous types of wheeled and tracked armoured vehicles. Crew survivability is the primary goal of Armatec’s seats, and they are designed to protect personnel against the specified range of mine, improvised explosive device (IED) and ballistic threats. Both seat categories are equipped with a five-point harness for added safety.
Drivers' seats are adjustable to accommodate most heights of drivers. Seat backs can be laid flat for improved driver mobility inside the vehicle. As with all Armatec seating systems, the drivers' and commanders' seats are coated to be fire retardant and resistant to perspiration staining and fungal growth. Armatec driver’s and commander’s seats are lightweight solutions which meet stringent survivability, environmental and ergonomic requirements.
Troop Seats
For all armoured vehicles, seating systems are crucial to achieving holistic survivability. To this end, Armatec offers a full range of patented troop seat models for wheeled and tracked vehicles. By using a modular approach to design, these seats can be customized to meet a customer’s survivability and space claim requirements.
Armatec troop seats are available with mine-blast attenuation as well as ballistic protection and retractable footrests. All seat models conform with NATO’S STANAG 4569 (Protection Levels for Occupants of Logistic and Light Armoured Vehicles) as well as a range of automotive industry and other standards.
Additional seat features include fold-down backs for ease of stowage and fold-up bases for increased space in the hull. All seats are supplied with standard head rests for support and an optional headrest is available for enhanced lateral support during a vehicle rollover or collision.

Special Purpose Seats
In addition to its standard seat models, Armatec supplies a number of “Special Task” seating options for gunners, loaders, radio operators and other specialists. Armatec’s design engineers can provide customized seats for any general-purpose or specialized armoured vehicle; wheeled or tracked.
